Ms. Mary Ann King: member of the Wanchai District Council; Chairperson of Cultural and Leisure Services Committee; member of Civic Act Up Party; co-founder of Network for Women in Politics (as well as many other affiliations). She also has many contacts with various people within the District Council and has offered to provide us with their contacts and information.
Dr. James L K Sung: Senior Lecturer from
School of Continuing and Professional Education of City University. He is also an experienced scholar who often express his view on the potlics in Hong Kong through the media. He is one of the most well-known current-affair-commentor in Hong Kong.
Dr. LAM Wai-Manis an Assistang Professor at the Department of Politics and Public Administration of the HKU. She is the publisher of "Contemporary Hong Kong Politics. Governance in the Post-1997 Era" and "Understanding the Political Culture of Hong Kong: The Paradox of Activism and Depoliticization". She is an expert on Hong Kong Politics. Her major research interests are political culture and political participation, democratization, civil movements, history of ideas and gender studies. I introduced our project to her briefly. If we have any questions on the structure and system of the District Council Elections she will be happy to answer our questions.
Dr.Robert Ting-Yiu Chung(鍾庭耀), director of the
public opinion program of HKU, is an expert in public opinion research. Maybe we could turn to him for related infomation.

Dr. Michael E DeGolyer, associate professor of the Government and International Studies Department at Baptist University. He regularly comments on policital issues in his column in The Standard. I've met him on a couple of ocassions and I believe he would be happy to relay his views and opinions, which are always very well informed.

Dr. Glenn K.H. HUI, Instructor at the
Department of Public and Social Administration at the City University of Hong Kong is the co-author of the chapter 'Local, Advisory and Statutory Bodies" in the standard work "Contemporary Hong Kong Politics, Governance in the Post-1997 Era". He has written about the history of the District Councils and gave us an interview.
Mr. Stephen Chan Chit Kwai (陳捷貴), JP, the district councilor for University Constituency and Central and Western District. Mr. Chan has been the manager of one of HKU's student halls. Also, his office is located at Bonham road right next to the Undergrad photocopying shop! So he should be an easy source for all students.
Cheng Lai-king (鄭麗瓊) and
Kwok Ka-ki (郭家麒) are both current district councilors in the Central and Western District. They have an office on Bonham Road, about a five to ten minute walk away from our main campus.
